The Military Years at Eagle Heights
In times of global conflict, even the most peaceful landscapes can become part of it. The Military History at Eagle Heights uncovers the hidden wartime role of W.K. Kellogg’s estate, revealing how it became entwined with the nation’s fight during the world’s darkest hours.
Let's travel back to the 1940s. World War II was in full swing, and anything that could help further the interests of the Allies was heard. Communities came together with the immense generosity of W.K. Kellogg and The Kellogg Toasted Corn Flakes Company.
W.K., being a man of practicality and believing in the duty of himself and fellow patriots, decided to contribute by offering his Eagle Heights Estate on the beautiful sights of Gull Lake, Michigan.
This haven on the water was a crucial part of the rehabilitation and recreation for soldiers returning from the European battlefield.
